Terms & conditions
These terms apply when you buy from our website or shops, book a workshop service or join Ride Club. Please read them before ordering. They do not affect your legal rights as a consumer.
1. About us
Fox Valley Bikes is a trading name of Miroslaw Zon, a sole trader. Our address is Unit MS83, Moor Market, 77 The Moor, Sheffield S1 4PF. You can contact us on 0114 288 8514 or at contact@foxvalleybikes.com.
2. Orders
When you place an order on our website you will receive an email acknowledging it. A contract is formed when we confirm that your order has been accepted or dispatched. If we cannot accept your order, for example because an item is out of stock or was priced incorrectly, we will tell you and refund anything you have paid.
Used and refurbished bikes are often one-off items. Stock shown online is updated regularly, but occasionally an item sells in store first; if so we will contact you straight away.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Any delivery charge is shown before you pay. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout, including card, Apple Pay and PayPal, and Cycle to Work schemes where stated.
4. Delivery and collection
Delivery options, costs and timescales are shown at checkout and on our Delivery & FAQs page. You can also choose to collect from either shop. Large items such as bikes may be available for collection only.
5. Your right to cancel
If you buy online you can cancel within 14 days of receiving your goods, as explained on our Returns & refunds page. This right does not apply to items made or modified to your specification, items fitted at your request, or services that have been fully performed with your agreement.
6. Faulty goods and your legal rights
We are under a legal duty to supply goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are explained on our Returns & refunds page. Nothing in these terms affects them.
7. Used and refurbished bikes
Used and refurbished bikes are checked and serviced by our workshop before sale. Their age and condition are reflected in the price, and some signs of previous use are normal. Each comes with the warranty shown on its listing, which is in addition to your legal rights.
8. Workshop services and repairs
We carry out servicing and repairs with reasonable care and skill. We will give you a quote before fitting any parts, and if we find further work is needed we will contact you first and will not carry it out without your agreement.
Please collect your bike promptly once we tell you it is ready. If you cannot make a booked appointment, let us know as early as possible so we can offer the slot to someone else.
Mobile repairs are available within the area shown on our website and include a call-out charge where stated.
9. Ride Club memberships
Ride Club plans are 12-month memberships paid monthly. The benefits of each plan, and any limits on them, are shown on the Ride Club page at the time you join. Member discounts apply at either shop and cannot be combined with other offers unless we say so.
10. Bike hire
Bike and e-bike hire is covered by separate hire terms, including identification, deposit and damage terms, shown on our hire information page.
11. Our responsibility to you
If we fail to comply with these terms we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our negligence. We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
12. Your personal information
We use your personal information only as set out in our privacy notice.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you have a complaint, please contact us first and we will do our best to put things right.
